Clips of Raditude on iTunes

Thirty second clips from Raditude are now on iTunes, which features a special section called “The Weezer Raditude Club.” For $19.99, you get two new songs each week (one album track and one bonus track) for a total of six songs.

Also, for what it’s worth, iTunes has the album release listed as October 27th.

"I want songs that have deep meanings and epic changes...Lyrics that inspire me to write novels, and emotive melodies that make me cry myself to sleep like alwaysrock."

Really? 'Cause I don't. I just want some great songs. You've got some pretty high standards.
  • realhallovulture

  • Donny
    No. Nice find. Thanks.
  • HearYOUme
    Yeah screw all of you.

Having listened to all the song clips on amazon ( different parts of songs) these sound great. Not well written lyrically but musically, melodically and just pure fun factor.

Run over by a truck sounds awesome, let it all hang out sounds awesome, and trippin does too.. Put me back together is shockingly good ...

This shall be quite nice imo
  • HearYOUme
I CHANGED MY MIND GUYS. This album is gonna blowwwwwwwww.

I mean fuck, these songs get stuck in your head, and they are catchy. I don't want music to be fun to listen to I want them to be boring! FUCK..

  • danisamoron
    you are an idiot.
  • soymilk
please don't try to act witty or intelligent if you aren't. it's embarrassing for all of us.
  • kingofearth
Yeah, but on the bright side - there's a funny dog on the cover! Weezer are so quirky!
  • HearYOUme
You can listen to the deluxe track clips by clicking the little " i " when looking at raditude on the homepage of itunes... ...... some crazy weird songs. Prettiest girl seems really dry idk.. Sighs
  • kingofearth
"You can listen to the deluxe track clips by clicking the little " i " when looking at raditude on the homepage of itunes... "

I don't see any little "i." What am I missing?
  • HearYOUme
Its clearly on the album at the store main page.. the little raditude album cover. when you go over it a little " i " is at the corner and you click it.
  • kingofearth
Yeah nevermind, I hadn't updated iTunes - I got it.

What the hell were these guys thinking on this album? :-/
  • HearYOUme
Don't even like the deluxe tracks?
  • Donny
Yeah, I thought the deluxe tracks would make up a little for the horrible album tracks.
    But, nah. Ain't working.

Weezer sold out, jumped the shark and eliminated their fan base with just one album. Good job!
  • HearYOUme
Maybe you are just being extremely picky this album. Red album had cold dark world which to me seems to be worse than any of these new songs, and these deluxe tracks seem far more interesting than the deluxe tracks we got last album.

Some of you are ridiculous and make no sense when it comes to weezer.
  • Donny
Well, at least the Red Album SOUNDED good.
  • kingofearth
Yeah, it's not so much that I think the deluxe tracks sound like poorly written songs like many of the standard songs do. They sound kinda interesting, but there's something about the recordings themselves and the way Rivers sounds that really turns me away. Weezer's music has always given me a warm feeling (even when I wasn't too impressed with the songwriting on album's like Green and Maladroit). This lacks that. It's cold to the touch. Maybe I'll like it more when I hear the whole thing, but it will sound like the itunes clips (there won't be a quality difference).
  • HearYOUme
Okay that I can understand. These feel like demos to me, I don't know why but all these songs don't feel like studio takes...

It's turning me off too but I still think these songs are incredibly catchy and doesn't get any where near close to Cold dark world in shitty quality imo.
  • HearYOUme
Scratch that, these few are better than a majority of what made the album..
  • jordanelder
I like how the letters in "Raditude" rearrange to make "Turd Idea".
  • Nuroticat
    There's a best thing?
  • kingofearth
Best thing will probably be the last note of "The Underdogs," actually.
  • Moo
Best thing about the album imo
  • guess_who
Hahahaha! iTunes took the clips down!
  • deadbeatmom
    the new album sucks
  • jesus
i hope the people who trashed make believe and red are proud of themselves now. we had songs like perfect situation, this is such a pity, hold me, peace, the other way, the greatest man that ever lived, dreamin, the angel and the one, pig, and miss sweeney finally after the generic pop of green and mala. now we're back to the generic pop but rivers is phoning it in even more. good job, guys, thanks
  • Let's ejaculate in Moo's face
I guess you're right. Weezer fans are truly impossible. It's just unbelievable how they've been reacting to releases since Pinkerton. The first two were just too good, I suppose, and fans have been complaining ever since. I always wondered what kept them interested in Weezer, but I'm glad they are finally leaving. We don't need a atom bom for that. Let's just be thankfull to this 'balls sucking Weezer', and celebrate the number of fans they've lost. It's a good thing. Can't wait for Raditude
  • Moo
"Let's just be thankfull to this 'balls sucking Weezer', and celebrate the number of fans they've lost. It's a good thing."

It's really not a good thing. I'm not saying that to spite you, or out of some bloated sense of self-importance. I'm saying it because it's true -- and, believe it or not, because I care. That's the thing about "people like me": we complain because we care. If we didn't care, we certainly wouldn't care enough to complain. Our appreciation for the band's 90s material informs our appreciation for Rivers' talent and potential as a songwriter, which in turn "keeps us coming back." You wanna talk about what's good for Weezer? Well, there it is, front and center.

While 99% of the last decade's power-pop acts have flamed out, Weezer has somehow managed to stay in the game, stay relevant, stay successful. Pitchfork won't touch the All-American Rejects with a fifty-foot pole, yet they have no problem reporting on the artwork for a cardboard Weezer in-store promo display. Why is this? Some people will tell you, "Well, obviously because the new material's just that good!" But that's not it. Sure, a song like "Beverly Hills" helps. But overall, it's because the *old* material is that good. The *old* material gives Weezer its "impressive legacy." The *old* material gives Weezer its diehard fans. And all of that owes to this: the *old* material is ***great music***. "I Want You To," "I'm Your Daddy" -- this is utterly disposable music; it'll be forgotten three months after impact. All those wide-eyed, cash-packing tween fans will get up and leave. But that won't sink Weezer's career. It might not even hurt them at all (which is really pretty astounding considering the realities of today's "Biz"). And what makes it possible? The foundation created by the *old* material.

I'd like to see Rivers actually try again, as opposed to settling for mediocrity. Rivers was -- and has all the tools to again be -- one of the greats of this generation. But he wastes his talent, wastes his gift. He sees courting the Radio Disney demographic as "doing his own thing," but in reality, it actually just closes the gap between him and the Joe Jonases of the world. When I think of all the greats of the last 20 years who were cut down far too early (say, Jeff Buckley) and then I look at Rivers (a great who was spared death, a great who got continue his journey, a great who's now content to write "I'm Your Daddy"s), it frustrates me to no end. The music world has plenty of hit-makers who get paid to write stuff as "good" as (and usually better than) "I'm Your Daddy." What the music world is lacking is great artists.
  • soymilk
this is mu's finest moment. hear hear.

    + 1 Moo

    That was pretty good

And who is posting with my brilliant name?

Wait till you hear Rubber Revolver.

    Aw, management's censoring me. Cute.

It's not just six songs. There's more to be added to the iTunes Pass thing. more songs, more videos, and more rare and unheard tracks. So quit your griping, folks.

    Go to Weezer Country, y'all.

    Shit
  • James
Maybe Moo should just slit his wrists.

So called weezer 'fans' are just impossible ... since Pinkerton everything sucked. Maladroit Sucks, Red Sucks, Make Believe sucks, Green sucks, Raditude sucks (based on 1/6 of the album you've heard). An it's not that these albums all sound te same. It's just that Weezer can't do no good anymore, whatever they try, since Pinkerton.

    Admit it ... it's you

  • prodigylover
    Go to Weezer Country, y'all.

Man, that place is worse than the ooPS!!! page.

    SUMMARY
    - New site sucks
    - New album sucks
    - New Weezer sucks
    - Weezer sucks

Historically, it's at this point that someone makes a new fan forum. But I doubt anyone cares enough to now. So maybe it's time to seriously consider moving on and getting lives.
  • georatm
If they suck so bad than stay off this site you idiot.
  • bsidebum
Calling Moo an idiot is like a Republican calling Obama a terrible public speaker.
  • Moo
    ARE YOU CALLING ME OBAMA
  • kittenbreath
oh god!!! moo doesn't like new weezer??
  • danorgan
WEEZER IS FINISHED. THEY CROSSED THE LINE.

Oh and whens the board gonna be fixed?...The internet has become quite boring without the boards.
  • Fox
After listening to the Raditude samples on itunes, it really made me appreciate The Red Album for all it's worth. Weezer has gone to shit! "I'm Your Daddy" is the closest that even reminded me of mid 90's Weezer.
  • Dreamo84
its a good thing this isn't the mid 90's then huh?
  • Fox
It's a good thing Rivers Cuomo is balding.
  • John Adams
I'm Yo Daddy may be the best song on here! We're in trouble folks....TIMBER!

Paid For By People To Re-Elect John Adams
  • zxcvb
LOL. Bowling for Soup's latest album is called "Sorry for Partyin’." They not only make better music than Weezer now, but they come up with better, more appropriate album titles.
  • prodigylover
Clearly, Geffen has ordered GoDaddy to shut down the most prominent Weezer fan forum to avoid bad buzz!! You can shut us down, but you can't shut us up!

(Either way, it won't make Raditude suck less)
  • allpwrtoslaves
itunes changed it to nov 3rd btw
  • silenttwn
I'M HAVING ALBUMSIX WITHDRAWAL URURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHGHHHH THE PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Nuroticat
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got til it's gone?
  • bsidebum
    +1

    ...oh, wait.

Since the boards are down: New rivers 'interview' on Buzznet.com. Altleast, I haven't seen it before ...

    http://kron.buzznet.com/user/journal/4695671/rivers-cuomo-weezer-informs-buzznet/

Writing with Kate Perry ... Haha
  • Nuroticat
    Katy Perry > Brian Wilson?

I guess I just wasn't made for these times.
  • sauce
how long until this board crashing works itself out? FUCK
  • zxcvb
I appreciate the effort you guys put into this site, but the new forum just ain't working -- constantly crashing and now it's down for the count.
  • dag_yo
The best track is the cover...really.
  • Moo
What a clever moneymaking scheme. If only their songwriting department were this creative.

    Ditto your tediously repetitive cynicism
