Rivers offers payment for demo, again
Rivers is again offering to pay for a “fully realized” instrumental of a new demo. This second track is also a collaboration with Shusui, who very well may be the Japanese singer-songwriter Shusui Kosugi.
Looking for someone to produce a demo of another song I wrote with Shusui.
Same rules as last time:
Please don’t include lead vocals.
Please don’t upload files of individual instruments.
I want a fully realized demo of the song (minus my lead vocals).
Please don’t include my writing demo in your mix. I’ve just uploaded it as a reference for you.
I love driving beats, ear candy, big choruses.
I’ll pay $314.
You’re going to have to add another round of verse/chorus before the bridge.
No amateurs, please.
As he revealed with the last piece, it can be speculated that this track may also eventually appear on Rivers’ Japanese language solo album. The demo can be heard, and submissions uploaded, over at his Indaba Music account.
UPDATE: Rivers: “Once again, Beware Fashionable Women has produced the most suitable demo track. Look for the finished production next year on my debut Japanese album, ザ クマモトキッド.”

Rivers releases new demo
Rivers Cuomo has uploaded a new demo to his Indaba Music account. The Weezer front man is offering to pay an individual $208 for a higher quality demo of the instrumental, for which he would contribute lyrics to the already present melody.
wrote this tune with Shusui. Now I want to write the lyrics. Before I do that, I’d like somebody to produce a better demo of the music. I’ll pay you $208.
It is currently unknown what purpose the song may serve.
This is reminiscent of River’s 2008 escapades, in which he collaborated with fans via Youtube in order to create an original song from scratch. That experiment resulted in the yet to be released “Turn It”.
